Sardar Trust Eye Hospital was founded in October 1994 by my late husband Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq, who was an eminent businessman and philanthropist. Living in the Garhi Shahu area of Lahore, he started the hospital in a small building out of his own residential property, as an out patient clinic that gradually expanded to include an operation theatre, consultant clinic, screening area, and an administrative wing. Over the course of 30 years, Sardar Trust Eye Hospital has seen almost 20,000 patients annually, and performed an average of 1000 surgeries yearly, by certified ophthalmologists serving as faculty in various teaching hospitals of the country.

In April 2024, the hospital expanded to include a new building which houses a four stationed vision clinic, five consultant clinics, 4 operating theatres, a diagnostic room, a 20-bedded indoor ward, two spacious patient waiting areas, an administration and accounts wing. Within a year, we have performed upto 1200 surgeries, seen over 2000 patients monthly, and performed more than 200 diagnostic tests every month.

With the accreditation of FCPS training in ophthalmology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, we have also upgraded to include a computer lab, a digital library, and an open space conference area, making Sardar Trust Eye Hospital a centre for advanced training and education.
